| Grenada is the most southerly of the Eastern Caribbean islands and has a tropical climate with warm temperatures, high humidity and rain all year. January to April is the driest. Hurricanes are experienced between June to November. |

| Local Customs/Laws |
| There is a real mix of cultures on Grenada which reflects the colonial and slave trade past. Homosexuality is not widely accepted. Do not wear camouflage clothing. Possession of drugs is illegal. Keep beachwear to the beach and poolside only. |
| Getting Around |
| Roads are of variable quality. 4x4 hire vehicles are often used. Drive with caution. Yachts are a popular way to get around and between islands. Taxi fares should be agreed before the journey commences. |

| New Year on 1 January, National Day on 7 February, Labour Day on 1 May, Whit Monday on 12 May, Corpus Christi on 22 May, Emancipation on 6 August and Thanksgiving on 25 October. Christian holidays for 2010 include: Lent which commences on 17 February, Easter from 2-5 April, Ascension Day on 16 May, Whitsun (Pentecost) on 23 May, Corpus Christi on 6 June, Assumption on 15 August and Christmas Day on 25 December. Also look out for the Carnival in August on Grenada or February on Carriacou. |
