| Street crime is virtually unknown, however do not be complacent about your safety and ensure you look after your passport and travel documentation. Theft has been known on trains to and from Monaco. Ensure you take the normal precautions to safe guard your valuables. |

| Monaco is of the coast of southern France and therefore has a warm Mediterranean climate. The hottest months are July and August, Spring and Autumn are warm with most rain falling during the cool winter months. |
| Local Customs/Laws |
| Dress is casual during the day but more formal during the evening. Keep swimwear to the beach and poolside only. |
| Getting Around |
| The nearest airport is in Nice. Helicopter transfers are a popular way to get between the two. There are good road and rail connections. |

| 2010 dates are: New Year on 1 January, St Devote's Day on 27 January, Easter between 2-5 April 10, Labour Day on 1 May, Ascension Day on 16 May, Whit Monday on 24 May, Corpus Christi on 6 June, Assumption on 15 August, All Saints on 1 November, National Day on 19 November, Immaculate Conception Day on 8 December and Christmas Day on 25 December. In addtion the Formula 1 Grand Prix is held annually in May, the Monte Carlo Rally in January and a historic car rally in January/ February. |
