| This group of islands comprises of St Vincents and 32 other volcanic islands collectively known as the Grenadines. The temperature fluctuates little, rainfall is heavy and humidity high all year. Hurricanes are likely during the period June to November. The best time to visit is between January to May. |

| Homosexuality is not widely accepted. Do not wear camouflage clothing. Possession of drugs is illegal. Keep beachwear to the beach and poolside only. |

| Boats, ferries and flights operate between the islands. Internally, buses, taxis and hire cars are available. The rules of the road are often ignored. |

| New Year on 1 January, National Heroes Day on 14 March, Easter from 2-5 April 10, Labour Day on 1 May, Whit Monday on 24 May, Carnival on 14 & 15 July, Emancipation on 4 August and Christmas on 25 December. National Day is on 27 October. A number of dance and music festivals are held during the year including the Vincy Carnival in the summer and the dance festival month of September. |
