Travel Advice on Health, Climate, Local Info, Customs and Laws

Travel Advice/Warnings
There are high levels of gang related violence as well as thefts from vehicles and property. Do not make yourself a target by carrying expensive jewellery or valuables. Safeguard your property and leave your expensive items and your travel documentation somewhere secure. Do not take chances with your personal safety, do not walk about alone or in isolated areas.
Vaccinations & Health Alerts
Medical facilities are generally limited and not all are up to UK standards. Private clinics are able to treat routine issues but more serious cases are evacuated to the USA. Check that your travel insurance covers you for this. It is recommended that you vaccinate against Hep A, Typhoid and Yellow Fever.
